Energy Fuels cleared ASM. VAC is the magnet end. White Mesa is no longer the whole story.

Shareholders approved the Australian Strategic Materials scheme. The VAC purchase is still the larger rewrite — Hanau, Sumter, and a mill that already made US Dy and Tb.

White Mesa is still the only licensed US mill that has produced separated NdPr, Dy and Tb from monazite at any commercial claim. That was the original pulse. It is no longer the whole company.

ASM shareholder approval on 12 August is the feedstock-and-metals step: Dubbo plus the Korean metals plant, bolted onto a mill that already cracks monazite. VAC, announced in June at about $1.9B, is the magnet step — Hanau, Sumter, a century of sinter know-how. Close is guided early 2027.

This is the most kinetic Western processor on the desk. The risk is the same as the pitch: two large acquisitions on top of a mill that is still ramping heavies. Integration is the catalyst after the signatures.
